Kim Doran's breadth of experience spans over 20 years in politics and government consulting. She has a detailed understanding of the pressures and processes that drive government decision-making – insight that translates to effective strategies.
Prior to joining TACTIX in 2007, Kim served as Deputy National Director (Organization and Policy) for the Liberal Party of Canada. She organized the December 2006 Biennial and Leadership Convention – the largest political convention in Canadian political history – and she created and implemented the Party's national policy consultation process. From 1993 to 2005, Kim worked for two of Ottawa's major government relations consulting firms. She was engaged in several high profile merger and acquisitions files in addition to gaining deep experience in financial institutions, taxation, health, intellectual property and copyright, research and development incentives, product defence, and transportation sectors.
Kim's demonstrated knowledge of the machinery of government process has given her the ability to move critical files through a series of changing public policy environments.
Ms. Doran is a graduate of Queen's University, with graduate studies at
Carleton University. She is an active volunteer in the Ottawa community
and active on political campaigns. Kim served on the executive of the
